I'm gearing up for Thanksgiving this year, as we are having it at our house! I've always helped out making a side dish or dessert here or there, but I"ve never had to cook the entire meal! I think what I"m most nervous about is cooking the turkey. Hopefully I don't mess this up! Thanksgiving includes some of my favorite fall foods like sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts, and bacon, of course. There are so many different ways to incorporate all of the autumn flavors into side dishes, that I wanted to come up with a variety of dishes, that were also decently healthy. So read on for some Thanksgiving inspiration!
Growing up, we always had Thanksgiving at my parent's house. I loved it because it was a time where both sides of the family would come and gather all in one place. My parents have a cozy home that is always heated by fireplaces, definitely my favorite way to stay cozy in the New England cold months.
I'm excited, but also a little nervous to have Thanksgiving at our place! I'm just hoping that I don't screw anything up or burn anything. Any helpful tips?
