SPRING TRENDS TO LIVEN UP YOUR HOME
Spring is finally here! After that tease that we had a few weeks ago, how great does it feel to know that we have made it past the cold New England winter months?! I know I'm not the only one who just loves changing up decor depending on the seasons. And while all is fair in love and design, my wallet doesn't always agree. Here are some simple ways to brighten up your already lovely home for this year's spring season.
FRESH FLOWERS
When you think of spring what comes to your mind? Fresh flowers would probably be everyone's first guess. Grab some lovely vases and turn your home into a greenhouse with dazzling flowers.
SUCCULENTS
There's a reason that succulents are so popular. They are easy to take care of, they add a great pop of green into your home, and they are just so cute! Support your local community and head on down to your local farmers stand and pick some up. Some of my favorite rooms to add succulents are the kitchen and family room.
PRINTED WALL COVERING
Wall covering can totally change the look of a room. Try not to think of wall covering as your grandmother's living room. Nowadays, there are so many fun patterns, colors, and textures that you can choose from.
UPHOLSTERED HEADBOARD
Anyone up for a DIY project? Adding a fresh headboard to your bedroom is a fun way to add a pop of color and texture. There are so many tutorials on Pinterest nowadays that they make it seem as simple as brushing your teeth.
NATURAL WHITE
So we are talking about lightening and brightening our homes right? Well, then white is a must. Natural white textures like pottery and stain-washed wood are some of my favorite ways to incorporate the color.
STATEMENT MIRROR
Another way to brighten up a room, make it look larger. Add a large mirror to your entryway, or a full length mirror in a hall.
