Okay, well now that it is Labor Day weekend, I am finally excited to put summer behind us and celebrate autumn!
Velvet, woven, cable knits, you name it, and we want it in our room.
2. JUNGLE GREEN
West Elm isn't the only one using this color now. Just check out the Craftsman Home's Living Room! With the new fad of palm leaves and tropical vibes, this color is everything you want to make a burst of color.
3. CEMENT TILE
I say it all the time, but tile is my favorite element to design with! And with concrete tile coming to life, I have been on a huge kick. From backsplashes to bathroom floors to outdoor patios, finding the right spot for it won't be too hard.
4. BONE INLAY
Sometimes you need something other than wood for a coffee table, but glass scares you with the kids, and metal seems to harsh. Key in the bone inlay. This piece will be a statement within of itself.
5. LIGHT WOOD
I too, was a fan of the dark wood trend. But nowadays, things are getting lighter, and rustic, lighter woods are taking over.
No, I'm not talking about the animal. Camel is a great neutral to bring into a room. Paired with navy and white and you have yourself an LL Bean approved room.
7. BLUE KITCHENS
Maybe you don't want to change your white walls, but you want to add in some color. Blue cabinets have made their way into our homes for people just like you.
8. LIVE EDGE
Ah yes, live edge. If you saw my post a couple of weeks ago, I rounded up some of my favorites. Live edge is great for the people who want something completely unique and different in their home -- and who doesn't?!
9. RELAXED MINIMALISM
Boho chic is not just for the west coast anymore. Light, neutral interiors with pops of color have made its way over to the east. With this style, less is more, and natural textures are everything. This is most definitely my favorite trend of the season!
10. MATTE BLACK
Gone are the days of brass and copper finishes, and in with black matte. Timeless, the color black will never fade, and we don't hate it.
